MMI Outdoor was born in 1975 as a distributor of outdoor recreation products to Military Exchanges and MWR facilities. After an evolution from distributor to importer to designer and manufacturer of tent and load carriage products under the Catoma brand, the MMI of today is looking to the future of outdoor products, along with wildland firefighter and military operational needs, in groundbreaking ways. As a part of this focus, we have jettisoned the distribution portion of MMI Outdoor to focus on what we do best: designing and manufacturing rugged products for rugged people.

We are headquartered in the southeast region of the United States in Montgomery, Alabama. Our facility is located about twenty-five minutes from Montgomery Regional Airport and three hours from Hartsfield-Atlanta International Airport.
